Demi was our first featured "Special Needs" pet.
Here is an update from her fantastic forever family!

Demi is doing well. Her blood work came back right on the money, so she is on the same dose of hyper-thyroid meds. She's gained close to a pound, although we had a few setbacks.

It turned out her teeth were in need of repair, so she got a cleaning and three extractions. I have enclosed a photo of her standing on the sink showing off her dental work. She recovered easily, but the antibiotic put her off her food. Or it was a trick to get sliced deli meat from me.

My vet says she is most likely a cat of 12 or 13, so as befitting her advanced years, she bruised her hip, or something, the vet could not find anything wrong, and she is mostly recovered a few weeks later. I have enclosed a photo of her glaring at me from her cat bed after being forced to take a pain pill. Once again, she used this as an opportunity to coax special food out of me, however :)

Her fur is filling in nicely, and every time someone visits, they exclaim at how she gets prettier every day. It is kind of like getting a new cat every few days.
